Job / Project Costing
Navision's job costing functionality is fully
integrated into all other Navision modules. As such, job
tracking is included in normal business activities and does
not require users to perform extra transactions. Regardless
of where the information is entered, e.g. purchasing, payroll,
or sales, it is immediately associated with a job or project.
Users are able to get an up-to-the-minute financial picture
of any project, including all expenses, customer billing,
etc.
Users can create comprehensive budgets for
each job, including allocating resources, materials, and
expenses to specific phases of the project. Included in
the job budgets is detailed planning functionality that
enables users to schedule due dates for all job requirements,
e.g. resources, materials, etc. By combining planning and
budgeting, companies can generate highly accurate forecasts
of all job requirements. This information allows companies
to manage resource capacities and create just-in-time purchase
orders for job-related items.
