Manufacturing Overview

Navision's manufacturing provides a full range features able to handle the most specialized manufacturer. Whether a company is Made-to-Order, Made-to-Stock, or somewhere in between, Navision's functionality can support the manufacturing process with ease.

Navision's manufacturing system works with manufacturers, and not against them, to produce items quickly and efficiently. The system can automatically create pick tickets for raw materials and automate standard consumption patterns with either forward or back flushing. Navision also assists in the design phase by providing phantom BOMs and version control.

Navision helps manufacturers get their hands around the entire manufacturing process using MPS / MRP planning methods. Navision's capacity requirements planning (CRP) functionality prevents companys from getting in over their heads and allows them to make proactive capacity adjustments. MRP can trigger related production orders for manufactured components or automatically generate purchase orders for purchased raw materials.

Navision isn't flustered by special production orders either. Users can modify standard BOMs and routings for a particular production order or design a new process on the fly from within the manufacturing system or directly from Navision's sales window.

Of course, Navision manufacturing is fully integrated to all other areas of the Navision system, including Accounting, Warehousing, eCommerce, and Distribution.
