Service Management
With Navision's service management module,
companies can easily provide world-class service to their
customers. The service management module can be used as
stand-alone or as part of an integrated solution with Navision's
manufacturing and distribution functionality.
Service orders can be generated from new service
requests or automatically based on contractual arrangements.
New service orders are scheduled via a dispatch window that
allows users to match resources with the necessary skills
and availability to the task.
Service personnel can record time and materials
required to complete the service order. If the service order
involves a physical asset for the customer, the system will
maintain a complete history, including prior service orders,
for the item. Upon completion, an invoice for the service
order is automatically created.
Alternatively, service contracts can be created
that specificy covered services, items, and periods. Different
levels of service can be offered under the service contracts,
including measured response times. A complete history, including
profitability, used parts, and man hours, is maintained
per contract.
