Multiple Warehouses

Navision's warehouse management provides enterprise level functionality by enabling companies to track the movement of inventory across physical locations. Users can request that items be transferred from one warehouse to another from within Navision. Users at the originating warehouse automatically receive the request and can begin fulfilling it.

As items are shipped between the locations, they can be tracked as in-transit with estimated delivery dates. Items being transferred to fulfill a particular sales order can be reserved to ensure availability upon receipt at the destination warehouse.

Another feature of Navision's multiple warehouse functionality is the ability to generate warehouse-specific pick tickets for a sales order. For example, there is not enough quantity of an item at the local warehouse to fulfill a customer's order, a user can request that the remaining quantity be fulfilled from a remote warehouse on the same sales order. Once the sales order is released for processing, both warehouses would see a pick ticket against the sales order for their respective portion of the order.
