Picks & Put-aways
Navision's warehouse management provides all
the tools necessary for smooth, efficient operation.
Warehouse managers can eliminate unnecessary
trips to pick and put-away items by selecting the processing
method, e.g. wave picking, when generating pick or put-away
tickets for warehouse employees. Navision queries all warehouse
related activities, e.g. receipts from purchasing, shipments
for sales, intercompany transfers, and manufacturing requirements
to generate to generate warehouse tickets.
Users can create processing rules to optimize
the put-aways process. When Navision generates put-away
tickets, it will consider location preference, available
space, proximity to similar items, etc. In addition, special
handling requirements are automatically flagged for the
warehouse employee by Navision.
Next, warehouse managers review and assign
the tasks to warehouse employees to fulfill. As employees
complete each task, the status is enter into Navision. Depending
on the volume of transactions, information can be entered
directly into Navision or through an integrated RFI-scanner.
